Rainy Hoopin, Great Hope All the Same~

Sunday’s Race for Hope to fight brain tumors was a resounding success, despite the constant stream of precipitation down on us thousands of racers and walkers. David Cook, of American Idol fame, was there with us, and sadly announced that his older brother Adam had died the day before from a brain tumor. It was a gift that so many thousands of folks affected by brain tumors could converge to do something positive and inspirational towards the cause of a cure and eradication. All in all, race participants raised close to 2 million dollars towards research in the field of fighting brain cancer! Several folks left the race with colorful hoops in hand, too, after making a donation to the cause in exchange for their very own brain-stimulating feel-good ring. Above & below are a few saturated shots of me hooping the race and my Hoops for Hope action on the sidewalk by Freedom Plaza, just across from the National Theatre. Look closely at the above image and notice my sweet cape~ crafty compliments of Sister Suz with our team SUPER POWERS! emblem boldly on the back. Thank you to all my friends and family who donated time, skills, and resources to make this year’s Hoop for Hope happen again with great success~ oneLove!

My daughter is a brain tumor survivor. She was 13 months old at diagnosis and is now a vibrant 5 year old. Thanks for posting about the Race for Hope!

My mother is looking for a Hoop. Can you e-mail me with where/how to buy a hoop from you?
