Please consider joining in the efforts to eradicate brain tumors by joining the first annual Capital Hoop for Hope~ taking place in conjunction with the 10th Annual Race for Hope (to fight brain cancer) in Washington DC on the morning of May 6, 2007. My lovely mother, Mary Ann (Mimi) Powers, passed away from this devastating disease in November of 2006 after surviving a difficult 2+ years. She loved to hoola hoop, dance, and in general have a good time living! I will be making and selling hoops to benefit this fundraiser in the next couple of weeks. Proceeds of hoop sales from the morning of the race will go directly back to funding the fight against brain tumors. Please contact me if you’d like to help in any way with this project!
