For young folks looking to get their hoola hoop on, look no further than my once-a-week classes at the wonderful Joe’s Movement Emporium in Mount Rainier, Maryland. Club Joe’s, the after-school program, hosts an array of art and movement classes for youth from ages 5 to 12. Hoola hooping takes place on Wednesday afternoons, from 3:15-6, according to age and skill level. Visit their website for more information on class descriptions & registration.
