Before or after you stop by Sunday’s open house at Glen Echo Park (where I’ll be teaching a basic hoop class, see previous post for details), head on over to Takoma Park for their annual Folk Festival. There will be a ton of fun to be had, including: music, dance, children’s activities, food, craft show and sales, and a variety of community tables highlighting the goodness and diversity that is Takoma Park, MD. Events like this are wonderful opportunities for hoola hoopers to spread the whirling love throughout our local communities. This FREE festival will take place on Sunday, September 10th, from 11 am to 6:30 pm, rain or shine at the Takoma Park Middle School.
