Last night I made my first two hoops since I moved back to the DC area. I grabbed one on my way out as I headed off for a night of dancing downtown. Went to the Black Cat where there was a rad group of people shaking tail feathers to the musical offerings of the First Ladie’s DJ Collective. After scoping out the scene, I assessed that there was enough room and good spirits to throw a hoop into the mix. The crowd really loved it. The back room of the Black Cat has a sweet stage seperate from the DJ booth, dance floor, and bar- which made a perfect hooping platform. It was a lot of fun hoopdancing and meeting new friends.
